Cape Point Day Tours

The legend of the Flying Dutchman is about a cursed captain trying to get to port but doomed to never make it and sail the oceans forever. It is still uncertain if the “Flying Dutchman” refers to the captain or the ship. It is said that this ghost ship is still spotted by sea farers today.  We will never know if this story is just a sailor’s yarn or the exaggeration of an intoxicated storyteller, but fact is that many ships have sunk at the Cape of Good Hope.

Excursion to the Cape Peninsula

Our day tour starts from your accommodation in Cape Town. Depending on the weather we head out in the direction of Simon's Town, where we meet and greet the penguins on Boulders Beach. The entrance fee is not included in our tour price. From here our trip continues to the Cape Peninsula.

Just before we get to the entrance, there is an ostrich farm where we are happy to make a pit stop for taking photos if requested. We reach the Cape of Good Hope where there are plenty more memorable photo opportunities. Then it goes to Cape Point. Experienced hikers can easily reach the Cape Point on foot.

For those who are not keen on hiking all that way, there is a railway cart that takes you up to the first lighthouse. From here you can reach the southwestern-most point with a bit of a longer walk.

We all meet at the bus and the tour goes back over Simons Town and this time leads to Noordhoek, where the Chapmans Peak Drive begins. It is one of the most beautiful coastal roads in the world. From here we get to the coastal towns of Hout Bay, Llandudno and Camps Bay. Here you can enjoy a beautiful view of the 12 Apostel mountains! The day trip comes to an end and we are sure that you will enjoy this unforgettable trip!
